Latitude 2006 – Latitude 2023
The inception of Latitude was in 2006. We established our base in the picturesque location of Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk. The inaugural event featured headline performances from Snow Patrol, Anthony and the Johnsons, and Mogwai.
The first-ever Latitude Festival showcased an abundance of musical talent, with Snow Patrol, Mogwai, and Antony And The Johnsons leading at the Obelisk Arena. The Music Arenas were filled with performances from The Zutons, The Lemonheads, Patti Smith, Larrikin Love, Soft Hearted Scientists, Field Music, Paolo Nutini, and Archie Bronson Outfit.
The Arts Arenas were brimming with a variety of performances from cabaret, comedy, film, literature, theatre, and poetry. This included notable figures like Luke Wright, Inua Ellams, Lemn Sissay, Josie Long, and Robin Ince with his book club. Other prominent names such as Marcus Brigstocke, Sean Lock, Ben Moor, Nabokov, and Roger Lloyd Pack were also part of the lineup.
The Latitude 2023 festival takes place over three days, from Thursday 20th July to Sunday 23rd July 2023 and there are multiple stages where artists perform. In addition to music, there are also art installations, workshops, and other activities for festival-goers to enjoy.
