Мusic Gateway partnership with Reeperbahn Festival
Summer is approaching, and we all know what that means… The Music Gateway X Reeperbahn Festival Partnership is just around the corner! This is the time to discover your new favourite artists, soak in the summer sun and have a great time! However, there are lots of festivals that offer even more. For many, festivals are about going to exclusive artist showcases, which consist of upcoming artists cherry-picked by music labels. It’s about attending meetings and networking events, where you can meet influential music industry figureheads and learn from their expertise!
This year, we’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ve officially partnered up with the Reeperbahn festival! Including all of the above, Reeperbahn is Europe’s B2B platform for the music and digital industry. Discover the hottest emerging acts at the festival’s yearly showcase. Typically including the top 40 picks of labels, partners and numerous music export offices, be the first to hear the sounds of the future!
Are you an industry professional? Visit the Reeperbahn Festival Conference, offering industry professionals a programme that includes more than 300 sessions, networking events, meetings, showcases, and award shows! This is an incredible opportunity to network with international representatives from the music industry and the digital creative economy.
From 18 – 21 September 2019, the Reeperbahn Festival will present more than 900 events spanning a range of genres in locations around Hamburg’s Reeperbahn. Since its debut in 2006, the Reeperbahn Festival has grown to become one of the most important meeting places for the music industry worldwide, and, as Europe’s largest club festival, it boasts a broad spectrum of emerging and more established artists.
This year there will be some incredible speakers, who’ll provide attendees with expert insights into the topics of creative tech and live entertainment! To discover who’ll be speakers at Reeperbahn 2019, check out their article below…
The first speakers of 2019 have now been confirmed!
As always in the month of May we are happy to announce the first speakers for the Music Gateway Reeperbahn Festival Partnership 2019. A truly amazing line-up of speakers for this year’s conference is taking shape with: Klaus-Peter Schulenberg (CEO, CTS Eventim, DE), Cornelia Funke (Author, DE) and Matt Schwarz (COO & Managing Director, Live Nation GSA, DE). They represent two topic areas that will once again be at the core of our conference programme: Creative Tech and Live Entertainment.
Klaus-Peter Schulenberg
Klaus-Peter Schulenberg – or KPS for short – stands for one of the greatest success stories in the music industry: As early as the mid-90s, he focused on online ticketing with his company CTS Eventim. This year, CTS Eventim is celebrating its 30th anniversary, while KPS is writing another important chapter in the company’s history by launching the pan-European promoter network Eventim Live. In a keynote interview, KPS explains what this is all about and how he sees the future of the industry in general.
Cornelia Funke
With over 20 million books sold, Cornelia Funke is one of the most internationally successful children’s and youth authors. Despite her success, she has always taken the creative adaptation of her books a step further. Immersive audio storytelling is at the centre of her current project, which she will present together with Eduardo García from German Wahnsinn, the sound specialist for innovative audio content, in the Creative Technology theme strand.
Matt Schwarz
Matt Schwarz (35) has been COO & Managing Director at Live Nation Germany, Austria and Switzerland since September 2015. Live Nation Entertainment is the world’s leading live entertainment company. Prior to that, he worked for twelve years with the Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur, Germany’s leading concert and tour operator, as Vice President of Touring and Festivals. Matt Schwarz lives together with his wife and daughter in Berlin.
